This is a high-impact, high-visibility role supporting commercial, SBA, and specialty lending. Your analysis and judgment will directly influence credit quality, risk grading, workout strategy, and long-term portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements for new and existing commercial and consumer clients.
  • Prepare thorough credit memorandums covering risk ratings, loan structuring recommendations, and collateral evaluations.
  • Benchmark borrower performance against industry, location, and market peers using liquidity, profitability, leverage, and efficiency ratios.
  • Monitor portfolio health: track collateral positions, identify emerging risk trends, and assist in reporting lender and loan exceptions.
  • Conduct annual credit reviews for key relationships to verify ongoing credit quality and compliance with bank standards.
  • Stay current on economic, industry, and market trends that could affect client creditworthiness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal credit policy, regulatory requirements, and best practices in credit risk management.
  • Join client and prospect meetings with lending officers to build direct understanding of borrower needs and risk factors.
  • Contribute to building a strong, disciplined credit culture across the bank.

Who You Are and How You Work

  • Enthusiastic about working on a team that values accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
  • A team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, who has the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator who can distill complex financial data into concise insights
  • A strategic thinker who balances growth with disciplined risk management.
  • Comfortable navigating complex borrower situations and structuring practical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial credit analysis or commercial banking required.
